Sligo Jazz Project hopes to create a series of bi-monthly open mic/jam-session events in a teen-friendly space in Sligo, aimed at encouraging young musicians to take part in music performance and education in Sligo town.

Each event would comprise a workshop or talk by a visiting guest, followed by a jam session with a professional jazz trio, who will open proceedings with a short 15-20 minute set, and then provide a platform for young musicians to perform.
