Spooky Sparks: Designing a Safe Halloween Experience

Spooky Sparks: Designing a Safe Halloween Experience is an exciting workshop taking place at the Cloughleigh Community Centre in Ennis on October 30th, 2025.  The workshop is designed for children aged between 9 and 12 years, living within the Ennis West area.  This initiative is part of Clare County Council's broader effort for a safer Halloween, merging creativity with science.

Participants will explore the fascinating world of physics by learning about electricity and circuits while designing their very own spooky Halloween house. Through hands-on activities and engaging experiments, children will discover how to create electric lights, sound effects, and special visual surprises to enhance their haunted creations. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, they will collaborate in teams to brainstorm ideas, build circuits, and decorate their spooky houses, promoting teamwork and innovation.

This workshop aims to inspire imagination, enhance critical thinking skills, and provide a safe space for creative expression, contributing to a memorable and educational Halloween experience, while emphasising the importance of safety during the festivities.
