Spring into Storytime (SiS) is an annual, multi-event festival held in all branch libraries throughout Co. Roscommon. It is aimed at the library’s younger patrons, as a means to increase creative engagement by those of the national school, highlight the ongoing importance of reading, storytelling and literacy, and to increase the visibility of the library as a creative space within the local community. Storytelling is a big part of SiS, but all events include a creative dimension: arts, crafts, etc. and it is especially used to provide a platform for new and especially local children’s artists to make their work better known.
