SÚIL Clare Island
SÚIL Clare Island is a participative, sculptural, and sensory walk that invites people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to connect with the landscape, each other, and the creative process. Rooted in community and place, the project culminates in the creation of a sculpture that captures the essence of the shared journey.
In the lead-up to the event, artist Clare McLaughlin will spend a week on Clare Island, engaging with the local community and exploring a theme that will shape the walk. Through conversations and creative exploration, the artist will invite islanders to help shape the experience, ensuring it reflects the spirit and stories of the place.
On the day, participants will take part in a guided sensory walk, engaging with the island’s textures, sounds, and stories. The experience will be translated into a final sculptural piece—a lasting reflection of the collective journey.
SÚIL Clare Island celebrates creativity, inclusion, and the power of shared experience, offering a unique way to explore art, nature, and community.
