Sustainable Fashion Project

This initiative engages young people in hands-on workshops and a youth-led clothes swap event, promoting sustainable fashion while addressing the environmental impact of fast fashion. Through creativity, skill-building, and mindful consumer choices, participants will learn to upcycle, repair, and repurpose garments, reducing waste and fostering a more sustainable fashion culture.

📌 Project Breakdown:
✅ Fast Fashion Awareness Workshops  – Participants explore the environmental and social effects of fast fashion, including textile waste, overproduction, and labor ethics. Discussions highlight sustainable alternatives like upcycling and ethical brands.
✅ Basic Sewing Skills Workshops – Hands-on training in stitching and simple alterations empowers young people to repair and modify clothing instead of discarding it.
✅ Embroidery Workshop – Participants learn decorative techniques to personalize and upcycle clothing, blending sustainability with self-expression.
✅ Youth-Led Clothes Swap Event & Personal Stylist Talk – A swap event encourages the reuse of second-hand clothing, reducing textile waste and promoting circular fashion. A personal stylist will provide expert advice on building a capsule wardrobe, offering versatile styling tips to help young people make thoughtful fashion choices.

By combining education, creativity, and hands-on skill-building, this project empowers youth to embrace sustainable fashion, make ethical style
