The Gort town castle model will be (as close to possible) a scale model of the castle that once existed in the Town of Gort. The size of the model will be designed to fit on a modular base that is 8x4ft. The model (depending on the scale we decide upon) will feature the castle with one wall removed to show how the interior may have looked at the time. The model will also feature other buildings accurate to the time with figure to populate and bring life to the model.

If time and scale allow it will also feature the wall that surrounded the castle and the river that acted as a moat.

When finished the model will show a part of the history of Gort that no longer exists providing a historical and educational benefit to the town and the larger area. The possibility of making this a tourist attraction also exists if a permanent display area can be found.
