The Journey: A Sensory Theatre Experience
The Journey is an immersive sensory theatre experience designed for neurodivergent young people and those with additional needs. Developed in collaboration with artists Calvin Magee, Kwasie Boyce, and Andrew Browne, and 25 young participants, this interactive production engages all the senses—360° spatial audio, projection mapping, voice acting, animation, and tactile elements like bubbles and fabric—to create a unique, sense-driven adventure.
The performance will take place at M.A.D Youth Theatre and will also be brought directly to St. Brigid’s Special Needs School in Dundalk, making this experience accessible to even more young people. Local youth groups will also be invited to participate.
Aligned with Creative Ireland Louth’s focus on Creative Youth and Creative Health and Wellbeing, The Journey removes barriers to arts participation, fosters creativity, and promotes inclusivity, ensuring all young people have the opportunity to engage in meaningful artistic expression.
