The KinShip Project 2025

In 2025, the KinShip project enters an exciting new phase, transforming the award-winning EcoLab at Tramore Valley Park into a vibrant hub for community-led creativity, climate action, and ecological engagement.

Building on a community governance process initiated in late 2024, the year will see Nature Network Ireland, supported by artists LennonTaylor, lead a pilot programme that empowers local voices and fosters shared stewardship of the EcoLab, a unique public art space.

Key highlights for 2025 include:

  • Launch of the KinShip Council of Communities (KCC) to oversee programming and governance.
  • Appointment of a dedicated Administrator to coordinate activities and support community engagement.
  • Creation of an EcoLab Charter and Creative Manifesto, co-developed with the community and artists.
  • A creative programme featuring:
    • public events celebrating biodiversity, sustainability, and the arts.
    • an artist residency focused on ecological themes.
    • Participation in national events like Culture Night, Heritage Week, and Biodiversity Week.
This year marks the beginning of a shift from artist-led to community-led public art, with the EcoLab serving as a living, evolving space for dialogue, experimentation, and collective action. Through inclusive programming and a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, KinShip 2025 will deepen connections between people, place, and planet.
