The Long Grazing Acre Concert

As part of the Creative Ireland's "Living Artfully" Programme, Creative Ireland Carlow, in collaboration with Forward Steps Traveller Women’s Support Group, presents The Long Grazing Acre Concert, with a host of gifted performers from the Traveller Community, including special guests, Paddy Keenan, Marty Barry, Thomas McCarthy and Trish Reilly, as part of this year’s Pan Celtic Festival, on Saturday 26th April @ 3pm in the Carlow Methodist Church, Athy Road, R93 RW31

Pan Celtic ‘25 will play host to master piper Paddy Keenan and a host of musicians as well as champion singers, Thomas McCarthy & Trish Reilly, as they share traditional and original music, songs and stories, to celebrate the enormous contribution Irish travellers make to Traditional Music.

They will be joined by members of the Tullow Traveller Community, who have been participating in the Living Artfully project; this event will also feature a display of artworks created during the project.

Paddy Keenan is one of Ireland’s most celebrated Uilleann Pipers and is also one of the founding members of the 1970s Irish Traditional group, The Bothy Band.
