The Peatlands Immersive Experience - Monasterevin
The Peatlands Immersive Installation explores the ecological treasures that are the peatlands and wetlands of Ireland and amplifies the extraordinary species found within.
The installation combines animated paintings, photography, field recordings, sound sculpture and video into a transmedia essay narrated through the voice of the natural and built worlds.
The installation features soundscapes and field recordings by Lisa Dowling Scott and stunning works by nature photographer Tina Claffey and visual artist Kathrine Geoghegan. Paola Catizone brings performance art to the exhibition in the form of movement, meditation and audience participation. Charleen Hurtubise is a contributing artist, curator and creative producer. Creative engineer Fergus O’Hagan brings all the elements together to create the stunning experience that is The Peatlands.
This experience offers a unique space to view, appreciate, and enjoy nature. The event is suitable for and accessible to all! Come visit and see nature from a different perspective!
