Towards Inclusive Curatorial Practices: KCAT in Conversation
For 25 years and more, KCAT has been one of Ireland’s only supported arts centre of its kind. Join us at KCAT, as KCAT Studio artists, and visual arts industry leaders and art practitioners discuss what the future of arts and disability looks like and what is needed to support arts practitioners with disabilities as we look ahead to the next 25 years. This moderated discussion aims to inspire the next generation of art makers regardless of (dis)ability while contemplating the challenging questions of defining and articulating what inclusive curatorial and creative practice is and should be, and what needs to change across current and traditional practices by institutions and individual practitioners across the country. The discussion, celebrating 25 years of inclusion through art, will include questions from, and conversations with, the audience.
This moderated discussion will be in person in Callan at KCAT Arts Centre and recording for future viewing.
It will be accessible via: Youtubelink, kcat.ie website.
