Turas Columbanus “A Journey of Discovery”
Turas Columbanus invite people from local communities in Clonard, Trim, Bective and in and around Dalgan Pak to take part in a pilgrim walk over two days.
This is a fully inclusive walk which welcomes people of different religious backgrounds as well as those of no-faith, to walk together, to connect with the landscape, to celebrate the tradition surrounding wells, to engage with the mythology of the Hill of Tara and to hear the stories of Bective Abbey and our woodland paths.
Throughout the walk there will be talks on the various cultural aspects and heritage of each place visited. The emphasis is not about getting to each location in the shortest time possible but to engage with, and appreciate, the landscape and learn about the history, stories and heritage of each landmark.
