Lismore Library will host a writing competition under the working title ‘West Waterford Writes’, which will focus on short stories and poetry submitted by residents of West Waterford. 

A number of selected short stories and poems will be chosen as winners and sent forward for publication in a printed magazine or leaflet format. The winning works will be published digitally via the Library/Council website as well as recording interviews with the judges and the winning authors using podcast equipment already in the library’s possession.
