What are we waiting for? Colm Keegan and LBS Mens Shed
‘What are we waiting for?’ is an exploration of mental health and masculinity, told through the voices of men in a doctor’s waiting room. Together with award-winning writer Colm Keegan, the LBS Mens Shed will bring their new play, to the stage of their local community centre. ‘What are we waiting for?’ draws inspiration from the work of Irish playwright Billy Roche and the haunting surrealism of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’... with a little bit of magic thrown in.
We are delighted to announce that ‘What are we waiting for?’ has been selected as part of Dublin Fringe Festival.
This performance builds on work from 2024 where the Loughlinstown, Ballybrack and Shanganagh Mens Shed in collaboration with Colm Keegan have developed a new script entitled ‘What are we waiting for?’ The group has workshopped ideas, themes and brought in industry creatives such as actors and playwrights to help develop this project.
The play will be performed as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival this September in Loughlinstown Community Rooms. Booking link below.
