In 2024, Carlow Youth training completed the Education for Sustainability Climate Literacy Programme. 

Following this, participants were invited to take part in Phase 2, funded by Creative Ireland. this phase introduced local artist Clifton Redmond to the programme. Clifton, supported by the staff in CYT, expertly guided the group in creatively expressing their climate learnings through written pieces and artistic interpretation. 

The initiative encouraged and supported young people from Carlow Youth Training to take proactive climate action steps and also to build their confidence, knowledge and community engagement. 

Their poems and art will be transformed into a book for all future generations.
