Wipeout Festival offers a vibrant and dynamic arts event on the grounds of the National Surf Centre in Strandhill which is welcoming and open to everyone in the community.
Wipeout aims to engage in diverse audiences through community outreach, to offer inclusive and accessible programming that connects artists and audiences, and to strengthen community ties by celebrating local artistic talent.

Our aim is to enhance Sligo’s cultural scene with a high-quality accessible arts event that encourages and inspires young people to engage in arts practice by involvement in a day long concert featuring young bands that are making it happen for themselves both locally and nationally.

The Festival is dedicated to showcasing emerging young independent musicians/bands playing original music. Wipeout Festival strives to promote innovative artists, giving them a platform both locally and nationally in the dynamic environment of the National Surf Centre, Strandhill.
Our ambition is to create an artist friendly Festival based on our knowledge of emerging artists. Wipeout Festival also strives to collaborate and celebrate Sligo Visual artists whose work is used as the backdrop for the event. 
Focused on artistic excellence and making new music and visual art accessible to a wide audience, we strive to deliver meaningful cultural experiences that offer great value in our community, while celebrating the transformative power of the arts.
