In 2027, an international commemoration of the Normans will take place across Europe, including Ireland. Ahead of this large-scale commemoration Dublin City Council's Archaeology and Heritage Departments will engage with communities of the city, particularly with those resident in areas of historical relevance to the Norman invasion of Dublin. This engagement will explore how the city's residents wish to recognise this complex era of Irish history and offer opportunities to engage in collaborative community and creative projects in advance of key programming for the 2027 commemoration.
