The Mother Tongues Festival is an arts and cultural festival that promotes multilingualism and multiculturalism in Ireland through performances and workshops in over 20 different languages. In 2019 it takes place in Rua Red Arts Centre, the Civic Theatre and Tallaght library.

The festival will include more than 35 shows and workshops for all ages delivered through Polish, Chinese, Irish, Portuguese, Bulgarian and many other languages. 

Artists involved include fusion band Yurodny, composer Sean MacErlaine, writer Juliette Saumande, Outlandish Theatre Platform, illustrator Tarsila Kruse, visual artist Anca Danila and many more.

Artforms include painting, circus, traditional craft, music, illustration, architecture, literature and more.
