This is Art! was an exciting new online art competition created in partnership between RTÉ and the Creative Ireland Programme, aimed at young people on the island of Ireland.

Young artists aged under 18 were invited to create a piece of art, individually or in groups, which would be showcased at an online art gallery. The competition promoted artistic practice among young people by encouraging creativity, originality and self-expression. Entries were uploaded to www.thisisart.ie

A number of children from Offaly entered this competition, and their art can be seen on the dedicated county page. Digital copies were printed on display boards and displayed in all eight libraries around Offaly.
