Creatively Tackling Fast Fashion

No4 Youth Service presents a 10-week creative project for at-risk young people (ages 17-25) in Galway City. Designed for those facing homelessness, unemployment, cultural barriers, mental health challenges, or identifying as LGBTIQ+, this initiative offers a safe, supportive space to learn sewing, upcycling, and garment repair.

Participants will meet weekly for two hours, starting with basic sewing skills and progressing to hemming, zippers, buttons, and full outfit creation. Using charity-sourced and upcycled materials, they’ll gain hands-on experience while addressing the impact of fast fashion and climate anxiety.

🔹 Where? No4 Youth Service, Augustine Street, Galway
🔹 When? April – June 2025
🔹 How? Led by a professional tutor and youth worker, with access to sewing machines and materials.

This project fosters creativity, sustainability, and empowerment, equipping young people with valuable skills while promoting mental well-being and environmental awareness.
