The Small Things Like These Archival Project is a storytelling project relating to place made in collaboration with the community of New Ross. A documentary film will record the involvement the community had in the making of Small Things Like These, their memories and experiences of welcoming a major film production to New Ross, and the lasting impacts the making of the film has had on the town.

Rocket Science Media is working with extras, business owners and those who supported the production to uncover the story of Hollywood coming to New Ross. Rocket Science Media will mentor New Ross-based County Wexford Youth Film to take part in the making of the documentary.

The final documentary will contribute to a walking trail that encompasses six sites of note as featured in the Small Things Like These film. It will create a new tourism offer in New Ross, not only preserving the funny and heartfelt memories of a significant local cultural moment, but also providing another reason for visitors to experience the warm welcome New Ross has to offer.

This project is one of Wexford County Council’s Culture Team projects for 2025. A collaboration between New Ross Municipal District, the Arts Office and the Tourism Team, it encourages cross-departmental working through community focused projects.
