Gormanston Community Association will record  local stories in this Oral History Project to preserve a living heritage record.

They will meet with older residents of Gormanston, including those in the Gormanston Wood Nursing Home, to record stories of their lives living in Gormanston; the highs and lows of their upbringing, their schooling, their friends, family and characters in the locality. They'll be encouraged to share their memories and recall significant events that took place in their community. The group will focus on the years up to, and including, the 1990’s.

A Community Heritage Event will take place in City North Hotel during Heritage Week 2025,  to screen the results of  the Gormanston Community Association Oral History Project. Refreshments will be provided for attendees.
