The Ennis Book Club Festival’s school workshops return for a sixth year, bringing an inspiring literary experience to four schools in County Clare. Led by acclaimed author Sarah Moore Fitzgerald, each school will host three interactive sessions designed to spark creativity and deepen students’ engagement with reading and writing.

Students will explore a range of texts, using them to discuss themes, storytelling techniques, and authorial voice. A progressive writing component will guide them through poetry prompts and multisensory exercises, encouraging experimentation and confidence in their storytelling.

Beyond writing, students will visually interpret their work, discovering how words and images combine to enrich narrative expression. This multimodal approach supports both literary and artistic development, while fostering a deeper understanding of the creative process. Students will analyse the work of established authors and apply new techniques in their own writing, making the workshops a comprehensive and engaging journey into literature. Workshops take part from September to November.
