This activity is designed to give children a positive and creative experience interacting with literature in an exciting way within the library.  The goal of this event is to cultivate and reinforce young children’s passion for books and visiting the library.   

These events will not only promote early childhood development in fine motor skills through creative arts but also be an interactive way to promote language with Galway’s growing diverse communities.   

The stories will be delivered in multiple languages such as English, Polish, Ukrainian and Irish depending on the branch location and the local demographic.  

The event will be piloted in two of our branch libraries, 6 weeks X 2-hour sessions with the possibility of expansion in future years.   After the story is completed, there will be a creative activity/arts and crafts session that ties in with the story.
