Building on the successes and strengths of its pilot iteration, Youth Work Ireland Galway will lead in the formation and facilitation of Creative Youth Advisory Group 2024 – 2025, to ensure a meaningful youth voice in Cruinniú na nÓg and Creative Youth programmes, and a vital forum that can be sustained for years to come. 

Working with our delivery partners Youth Work Ireland Galway, in conjunction with our Healthy Ireland Coordinator, NTE Advisor and LCYP Coordinator, we have established a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) that represents young people in Galway City, especially seldom heard young people, including LGBTQ youth, young people with disabilities, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. This YAG would be facilitated and supported by an experienced youth worker and would shape Galway City’s Creative Youth programme by contributing to: 

1. Cruinniú programme and activities
2. Creative Youth and Shared Island projects
3. Cruinniú Open Call
4. Design of campaign materials
5. Mentorship and training opportunities
6. Selection of Local Ambassador
7. Evaluation of Cruinniú na nÓg and Creative Youth programmes
