Artmaking for children-A creative club

Artmaking for Children  -  A Creative Club is a participatory arts project designed to support children through creative expression, connection  and play. The club will engage professional artist Brigid Teehan to design and deliver a programme of seven artist-led workshops.

The club will welcome a diverse group of children. The project is grounded in creating a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment  where all children can relax, have fun and engage in creative activities without pressure or expectation. Workshops will be structured to support emotional wellbeing, choice and participation at each child 1s own pace.

Using recycled and natural materials, the project will encourage imaginative exploration while promoting sustainability and environmental  awareness. Children will be supported to experiment with materials, textures and processes, allowing them to develop confidence in their own ideas and creative voices. Artmaking  will act as a gentle and accessible way for children to communicate feelings, stories and experiences,  particularly  for those who may Face language barriers or have
experienced disruption and trauma.

These workshops will be closed to the public
