This project is a series of creative workshops aimed at people living in Ballybane, Ballinfoile, and Westside who may face barriers to engaging with climate issues. Led by a community artist and biodiversity specialist, it uses art, storytelling, craft, and song to help participants explore their relationship with their environment and how it is changing.

Over six weeks in each community centre, participants will take part in sessions that build progressively, using creative prompts and hands-on activities to spark discussion and personal reflection. The approach makes climate change more accessible and relevant by grounding it in local experiences and encouraging people to express their thoughts and feelings in an inclusive, supportive setting.

The project aims to build confidence, strengthen connections to place and community, and give voice to perspectives that are often unheard. Each programme will conclude with a small exhibition showcasing participants’ work and highlighting the role of creativity in raising awareness and fostering community engagement with environmental issues.
