Common Chords
Common Chords is a feel-good, community music project bringing the Ballinamore Men’s Shed together with musician and facilitator Susan Rowland. Over 10 weeks, participants will explore music in a fun, welcoming and informal way picking up the ukulele, trying out rhythm and voice, and maybe even writing a few songs along the way.
Open to all abilities, the project is about connection, creativity and enjoying the experience of making music together. With a strong focus on inclusion and participation, it offers a supportive space where everyone can have a go and find their own voice.
The journey will culminate in a lively performance at the Ballinamore Family Festival, celebrating the group’s shared musical journey alongside local ukulele players.
More than just a project, Common Chords aims to spark a lasting love of music within the Men’s Shed and build a creative tradition that can continue long into the future.
