Between The Lines Poetry Project
Between the Lines Poetry Project is a welcoming community programme inviting people across Leitrim to connect with poetry in a fresh and accessible way. Taking place across libraries in May, June and October, the project creates space to explore poetry as something lived, shared and deeply personal.
Through a series of engaging sessions, participants can read, listen, reflect and, if they wish, share their own writing no experience needed. From favourite lines that have stayed with us over the years, to exploring local history through poetry, to practical insights on publishing, each element offers a different way to get involved.
The programme also includes an open “Poets on Stage” event, giving new and emerging voices a chance to be heard in a supportive setting, alongside a special closing event with renowned poet Rita Ann Higgins.
At its heart, Between the Lines is about connection to words, to place and to each other creating a relaxed, inclusive space where poetry belongs to everyone.
