Sea life creative workshop
As part of the 'An Tír Faoi Thoinn – The Land Beneath the Waves' exhibition, Galway City Museum delivers a free public programme of talks, tours, and workshops celebrating Galway Bay's marine life, running until July 2026 and bridging science, art, and heritage.
The Museum collaborates with Kate Kelly of Art Room 109, a mobile sensory art studio specialising in early‑years creative engagement, to deliver four sea‑inspired workshops in the Museum's Education Room.
Each 50‑minute session offers interactive, ocean‑themed activity stations with sensory play materials, fostering creativity, motor skills, and social development for children aged 1–5, accompanied by parents/guardians (max 12–15 children per session). The workshops provide a welcoming space for quality family time and enhance the exhibition's outreach to young audiences.
