Wexford Voices
Wexford Voices is a youth-led digital media and social media platform designed to amplify the stories, perspectives and creative work of Traveller and other marginalised young people across County Wexford.
The project builds on the momentum of existing youth podcasting and storytelling initiatives, including local work such as the “Good, Bad, and Ugly” podcast series, and develops that energy into a more visible, structured and sustainable digital media hub.
The project will move participants from one-off content creation towards community broadcasting: planning stories, recording interviews, producing short-form digital media, managing social channels safely, and learning how to distribute content so it reaches peers, families, schools, youth services, local stakeholders and the wider Wexford public.
Over a 4-to-6-month pilot, an experienced facilitator will work with youth participants through local partner FDYS Youth Service, in a number of venues throughout the county to establish the Wexford Voices identity, deliver practical workshops, support content production, publish selected outputs, and leave behind a clear operating framework for continuation beyond the initial funding period.
