Rooted in the heart of the community, Sparks brings the magic of filmmaking and animation directly to young people through a dynamic programme of workshops and events. Sparks is a youth-led film festival that reaches over 100 young people each year, offering them the chance to create their own short films and animations. The festival begins in early autumn with a series of in-school workshops delivered in partnership with local primary and secondary schools. 

Halloween Festival Week

The excitement continues during the Halloween midterm break, when Sparks hosts a week-long celebration at the Edna O'Brien Library, Scariff.
