Creative Writing Shannon
Storytelling with Madge O'Callaghan
This six-week storytelling programme invites participants to explore the craft of creative writing in a supportive and inspiring environment. Through guided writing exercises, discussion and creative prompts, participants will learn key storytelling techniques including character development, setting, dialogue, structure and voice.
Drawing on personal experience, memory, observation and imagination, participants will develop ideas into engaging narratives and discover new ways to bring stories to life on the page. Suitable for beginners and more experienced writers alike, the course encourages creativity, experimentation and the development of each writer's unique voice.
Each session includes dedicated writing time, with opportunities to share work and receive constructive feedback from both the facilitator and fellow participants. By the end of the programme, participants will have created a portfolio of original writing and gained a deeper understanding of the craft of storytelling.
