Nature Resin & Encaustic Art Workshops

These creative, hands-on workshops will invite young people to explore the natural world through art, craft, and self-expression. Participants will begin by foraging for natural materials that catch their interest, such as leaves, flowers, seeds, and other found treasures, before incorporating them into a unique framed resin artwork. Each finished piece will be personal to the individual, reflecting their own creativity, interests, and connection with nature.

The workshops will also introduce participants to the fascinating art of encaustic painting, using natural beeswax to create richly textured and imaginative artworks. Guided by facilitator Rachel Quinn, a beekeeper and craft play facilitator with a passion for natural and sustainable materials, participants will learn about beeswax from hive to artwork and experiment with creative techniques to produce their own unique pieces.

Blending creativity, wellbeing, and environmental awareness, the project encourages young people to spend time outdoors, engage with nature, and explore the artistic potential of natural and recycled materials. The workshops provide a fun, inclusive, and inspiring environment where participants can learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
