Young Print Collective 2026
The Young Cork Print Collective is an ongoing artist development programme delivered by Cork Printmakers in partnership with Cork Migrant Centre, supporting young artists from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds to develop their creative practice in a professional studio environment.
Established in response to the need for longer-term creative support for talented young people who were not being reached by existing programmes, the collective provides mentorship, training and access to specialist printmaking facilities. Participants are supported to develop technical skills, build confidence and explore their artistic ambitions within a welcoming and supportive creative community.
In 2026, the programme will continue to support a core group of emerging artists while welcoming new members as others move on to further education, employment and independent creative opportunities. This ongoing cycle of participation ensures that the collective remains a dynamic space for artistic growth, peer learning and cultural exchange.
Through regular studio access, skills development and professional mentoring, participants are encouraged to develop their own creative voice and become more confident, self-sustaining artists. Beyond artistic development, the programme offers a sense of belonging, stability and empowerment, helping young people build connections within Cork's cultural sector and wider community.
