Young Traveller Enterprise is a creative leadership and enterprise project with young Traveller students at St. Aidan's Community College, supporting participants to develop and design a range of contemporary products inspired by Traveller culture, traditions and identity.

Working alongside creative tutors, students will take part in a series of weekly workshops where they will explore design, making, budgeting and product development. Building on previous successes, participants will create items such as bags, scarves and other apparel that incorporate Traveller symbols, stories, crafts and cultural traditions in ways that are meaningful to young people and appealing to contemporary audiences.

The project places young Travellers at the centre of the creative process, empowering them to shape how their culture is represented and shared. Through hands-on learning, participants will develop artistic, entrepreneurial and practical skills while gaining confidence in their own creativity and abilities. The programme also encourages peer learning, supporting students to become positive role models who can share their knowledge and experiences with younger members of the Traveller community.
