2021 Visual Artists Lifelong Learning Collaborative Programme

Visual Artists Ireland are hosting lifelong learning events for artists and creatives working and living in South Dublin County. The events cover the topics of artists working collectively, funding proposals & applications, securing a creative space/studio, working with curators, peer critique & the networking of artists within South County Dublin and further afield.

Visual Artists Cafe: Introducing.. South County Dublin - Meet established arts practitioners from South Dublin along with representatives from organisations and those working in SDCC

OCTOBER 2021
The Visual Artists Guide To Funding/Applications - Best practice techniques and considerations for visual artists engaging in arts funding/bursary/grant or residency applications.

NOVEMBER 2021
‘Working together - the benefits of collective arts practice’ - Explore the many processes and benefits to working in a collective arts practice

DECEMBER 2021
How to find and secure a creative space/studio - a walkthrough guide re: the sourcing and occupying of a creative space/studio for visual arts use

JANUARY 2022
Peer Critique (South County Dublin Artists Only) - 8 artists in total will share their work with the rest of the group

FEBRUARY 2022 
Working with curators - insight into how curators may engage with your work and interpret it differently to your expectations
