Kilkenny One Parent Community is a volunteer- led organization who wish to host a series of workshops to highlight the many strengths, talents and capacities that the many thousands of people who are parenting alone in Kilkenny have.

Some KOPC members recently completed a successful workshop series "Brat Bhrid". This project explored the 'divine feminine' with a focus on female Gods, heroines and personal mentors. Participants are eager to develop their artistic expression and build on the initial experience of Brat Bhrid. 

There will be six sessions in total (venues are Butler Gallery, Kilkenny and Fr. McGrath Centre, Kilkenny). Participants can get involved by expressing interest to the Development Officer of KOPC. All materials will be provided, no cost will be incurred by parents. Children will be facilitated to attend where childcare is a barrier to participant and fathers will be actively encouraged and invited to attend. 

The finalised art pieces will be showcased on display at Kilkenny Council Johns Green House window, Johns Green, Kilkenny upon completion.
