A Design Brief for Central
Project Partners: Waterford Libraries, Year 4 Design Team SETU and Waterford Europe Direct
With the support of Creative Waterford this collaboration has been running since 2019 and has involved branding Library spaces such as The HUB, Design Conferences and Exhibitions and bringing cutting edge design to our Library Community as well as leaving a lasting design legacy.
The SETU Dept of Design (Visual Communication) will work with staff at Waterford Libraries’ Central Library to set a brief for Year 4 Students to design marketing and communication material for Central Library. Each of the seven students will create a physical book that will also have an e-book format as well as four additional visual communication outputs. The Final Year Design Students will consider themes such as environment, economy, heritage, arts, placemaking, libraries, Irish language The Project will align with the following Creative Waterford Strategic Priorities: People and place, Building in creativity & Supporting our Creative Sector
