A-OUR
A-OUR. This project connects people, ideas and communities by hosting workshops in multiple communities across the county to take part in an innovative project that involves wellness, technology and creative thinking cross sector. It is majorly accessible as it requires no previous knowledge or experience and prompts participants to think and write about local issues. The A-OUR project aims to introduce each participant to a powerful wellbeing tool, the creative process and augmented reality. Participants don’t need any experience to take part.
Each participant will learn how to create a piece of augmented reality by using the custom designed A-OUR journal and attending either on-line or in person workshops with Carlow based Artist/Designer Paul Byrne. Hosted by Carlow Regional Youth Services. The A-OUR journal will be designed to introduce the participant to journaling as a wellbeing skill. It will also show them how to use their journaling to create a brief and how to take this brief through the creative process. Creating a completely custom piece of augmented reality art in the end. The outcome of this project will be empowered communities. Having gained a wellness skill, practical use of the creative process and a tangible piece of augmented reality art which they have created and exhibited in their community.
