Access for All is a short film-making project with members of STAAG (St Aidan’s Advocacy Group). This group of adults with intellectual disabilities will work with filmmaker Michael Benson to create a short film. Developing auto-biographical storytelling skills, the film will enable the group to share their day-to-day experiences, and highlight the challenges they face living in a world that is largely shaped for those who do not have intellectual disabilities. Working in front of and behind the camera, the group will experience pre-production, scripting, casting, using a camera, acting, editing, and post-production. The group will be the creative drivers of the project.

Post-production, the film will be shown on various social media platforms, and participants will organise a public screening in the Autumn of 2024. More details of this will be announced in August.
