This project will amplify the voices of marginalised children and young people in County Monaghan, in relation to Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland's national of free creativity for children young people. A series of creative sessions, facilitated by artist and creative Eve Li, will provide a safe space for children and young people to share their perspectives on Cruinniú na nÓg and to shape ideas and suggestions for the national day going forward. This project will seek to engage children and young people who are members of new communities (including International Protection Applicants, refugees and members of the Roma Community), children and young people who are disabled, children and young people from the Traveller community and children and young people who are at risk of early school leaving. This innovative approach will ensure that the voices of marginalised children and young people are heard and represented in Monaghan County Council's planning and programming for Cruinniú na nÓg 2023.
