Art and Ecology 2024

Step into a world of creativity and exploration with our upcoming series of 1-day workshops!

Led by talented artists, in collaboration with local organizations like Céide Fields and The North Mayo Heritage Centre, these workshops promise a day filled with inspiration and artistic expression.

Imagine being guided by an artist through the breath-taking landscapes of our region, drawing inspiration from the rich history and ecology of these locations.  Many of our workshops take place en plein air, allowing participants to immerse themselves in nature, while learning from specialists in this medium.  Each workshop begins with a short talk or tour by the hosting organization, setting the stage for a day of artistic discovery.

Typically, workshops at Ballinglen span 1-2 weeks but our 1-day format opens the door for locals and aspiring artists to dip their toes into something new.  Whether you're a seasoned painter or just starting out, these workshops are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all.

Art has a remarkable ability to uplift spirits and ease stress and we’re excited to offer you a chance to experience its transformative power first-hand.  Join us for a day of creativity, community and exploration and let's make memories together in these inspiring locations!
