Secondary school students will be invited to a Working Artists Roscommon (WAR) exhibition, being showcased in the newly re-opened Gallery at Roscommon Arts Centre, Roscommon town. The works on show range from mixed media, installation, painting, sculpture and performance. The six founding members of WAR include, Frances Crowe, Joseph Cunniffe, Honor FitzGerald, Dympna Molloy, Noel Molloy, and Anne Rigney.  Students will be given private guided tours of the exhibition and have an opportunity to meet the artists to discuss their individual arts practices, thereby giving students inspiration for their own art work and add to their appreciation of art.

The title of the exhibition is ‘War – New Works’ and the engagement programme is called 'Roscommonground’, which makes reference to the common ground that is shared amongst the schools, the artists and the Roscommon Arts Centre.
