The Arts Office Artist in Residence programme, co-funded by The Arts Council, welcomes artists from various art disciplines to live and work in Kerry for a period of time. Each artist works in consultation with the Arts Office/Creative Ireland Kerry to develop their residency work plan. The residencies support the artists in their own professional development to create new work while ensuring greater access to the arts for more people across Kerry, as the artists are available to work with individuals, fellow artists, community groups and schools, through mentoring, workshops and projects.

The 2022 programme will focus on the disciplines of filmmaking with filmmaker Mieke Vanmechelen and creative writing with writer Máire Holmes.
