ARTsomewHERE came to light as over the past few months many activities were forced to start operating online. This digital transformation was already occurring before the pandemic, but COVID-19 accelerated its timeline to pivot to an online environment.
ARTsomewHERE will be:
- a real connection with people
- a social network for artists helping them to connect with one another and to promote their art, interact with other community members, enter competitions and learn more about other artists
- a means to explore the arts and Irish culture and heritage in a creative, innovative and inspirational way
- an opportunity to bring together many other existing community groups
- reaching and encourage anyone to create artwork
- a platform to host art events and to run educational workshops online
ARTsomewHERE consists of:
seven online art, photography and fashion workshops:
- aiming to reach, inspire and engage people of all ages and abilities, other artists and the community, one workshop per month, two hours each, from April to October
- An online exhibition displaying artwork on 20th October 2021
