The work shop would hope to achieve an uplift in each writer’s knowledge of their own and others writing work and to provide support and guidance for new writers. It involves the 12 members of Athlone Writing Inc. If there is spare capacity this may be offered to non-members.

The Committee of Athlone Writers Inc will make contact with local writers providing work shop support and will engage and manage the event internally themselves. This has been achieved a number of times previously. We use a local hotel to provide accommodation and resources for the day.

We believe that this work shop will nurture and support artists networks and communities of practice by enhancing meaningful engagement between community and artists.
