Following on from the success of the previous writer in residencies, we wish to facilitate two creative writing programmes in the autumn of 2022 as follows:

A short creative writing residency from September to November working with creative writing groups, Dochas for Women, Monaghan Poets and Songwriters Group who will facilitate creative writing workshops reflecting on the theme of ‘The World we Live in’. Writer in residence will be Martin Keaveney who has published a number of novels, scripts for screen including RTE, Scripts Ireland Playwriting Festival, Fastnet Film Festival, Wasteland Film Festival (US) and many more.

The second creative writing programme will be the establishment of the first Fighting Words in County Monaghan, which will be a collaboration between the library service, Íontas Arts Theatre and our Creative Schools Cluster for 2022/23.
