Border 1921-2021: A Centennial Calibration will present on film the stories of communities along the 500-km length of the Border, as recounted in the published poem/ballad by Darach MacDonald.
The feature-length documentary film will present volunteer readers, many of them from a host of local cultural organisations, telling the story of their border district in their own local accents. The readers will be presented against a documentary backdrop of new and archive footage from places mentioned in the narrative.
The completed film will be presented at An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk, as well as at film festivals and other cultural and arts venues along both sides of the border.
