‘The Buildings of Ireland’ is a series of authoritative guides to Irish architecture organised on a regional basis, known as Pevsner Guides. The series is designed to provide an authoritative and comprehensive guide to Ireland’s architectural heritage. Every type of building, architectural style and historical period is included, as are all towns, villages, monuments and manmade landscapes.

This project represents year 2 of a 3 year research, field work and data gathering phase for a volume devoted to the counties of Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo, with a working title of ‘North Connacht’.

The ‘North Connacht’ Volume of the ‘Buildings of Ireland’ series will not be available until at least 2026, as an editing phase must follow this research phase.

Once the volume is ready for publication, it will be launched and will be available from all good bookshops and online booksellers.
